Club Reviews
SIN Niteclub
From Christine Mina, San Diego (08-20-07)
Located at 802 6th Avenue. SIN NITECLUB has two full service bars, VIP lounge, private rooms, and entertainment. This club can accommodate 400 people. SIN has a daring and intimate dance floor and there are also platforms for you to dance. The service is great and the bartenders make good drinks.
Red Circle
From Christine Mina, San Diego (08-20-07)
You can’t go wrong with Red Circle. This club is simply beautiful. Red Circle Café is also a fine dining restaurant from Thursday to Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The service is efficient; you don’t have to wait too long for your drinks especially at their famous vodka bar. Red Circle is located on E Street of Downtown, San Diego. So, bring someone special and check out Red Circle Café.
Belo
From Christine Mina, San Diego (08-20-07)
Wow, what a place. Located on Fourth Avenue, the restaurant + nightlife. Belo has something for everyone. This is one of the spacious clubs in Downtown, San Diego where there are three different rooms with different styles to choose from and several VIP lounge areas. Belo is always packed with different kinds of people having fun dancing and drinking. This is one of my favorite clubs in San Diego. The club attracts a good mixture of local and visitors and has a lively ambience. The service is very very good and typically friendly and the dress code is casual. All drinks are only $5 and $3 for shots if you bring cash. Bring friends and they will surely love this place and come back for more.
Detroit Bar
From Chris S (03-18-07)
24K .Gold is what first comes to mind when I think of 24K. This is the name of a new promotion at Detroit bar on Wednesday's. With Resident DJ's Jason Jazz and DJ Ken-Do 24k productions is out to set a club night like none other. As I walked in on the opening night the club was packed and the energy was right. They brought in their own props and style to transform the club into this golden night. Jason Jazz was on the tables doing his thing beat juggling, scratching and playing his signature sound and the crowd was loving it. I canvased the area and found the 24K dancers who were breaking it down and getting everyone hyped. As the night progressed on DJ Ken-do took over and showed everyone he can keep a dance floor in suspense with his awesome progressive sound and energy that he brings to the turntables. I even noticed him air drumming at one time. As the night wound down the crowd was still there in full effect screaming for more. So if you your looking for that good party vibe with a great staff and security check out 24K Wednesdays at Detroit Bar. I can tell you that this club night is definitely worth it's weight in GOLD!
Godfathers
From Chris S (03-18-07)
Staying true to there good crowds, and good vibe parties. The guys and girls at gruven know how to party. I highly recommend coming out to godfathers to be a part of the party. The dress code is casual, and the staff is great, I even noticed a security guard once and awhile showing off their moves. With the gruven Resident DJ's Hi-note and Heaven throwing it down on the 1's and 2's the crowd was hype. To add more fuel to this hot party was the $1 kamikaze shots at midnight. If your looking for a fun party with good people it's got to be gruven media @ godfathers. Big thanks to godfathers, and Lem and gruven for the fun night..
Republic
From Susan L (03-18-07)
Republic - Saturday If you want to party with celebrities then Republic is definitely one of the clubs you gotta hit up. I sighted two that Saturday night I was there! There is dancing and partying in the large white room on the first floor, and drinking and mingling on the second floor in three smaller, more private and cozier rooms. This place is awesome--very well ventilated! I danced my butt off and not once did I feel like I needed to take a breather for some fresh air. But if you want to talk about uniqueness, the bathroom was something new for me. Ladies and gentlemen do their business in separate stalls, of course, but we all mesh together in one large washroom and wash our pretty (and manly) hands together. Mmmm and the drinks--mixed perfectly to keep you steady and easy the entire night! Republic is definitely hot and happening!
Sutra Lounge
From Chris S (03-18-07)
Thursday's @ Sutra - With an amazing light show, Lush interior and sound that explodes throughout the club. Sutra is one hot nightclub. As I arrived around 11 the party was already in high gear, and the dance floor was filled with beautiful girls donning there juicy and Gucci dresses and the guys all plastered with affliction. When it was time for a drink Sutra was there with there three bars and bartenders who are hotter than hell itself. There is no problem getting a good drink at this club. I would recommend checking out 101 vodka on Thursday's you can find there distinct brand at a lot of the tables around the club. This night had all the ingredients for a good club night. As the clock struck midnight Donald Glaude in his true high energy style had the floor in his control with his bangin mix of house music that is signature to his sets. This night was definately a memorable one filled with good people, good drinks and fun. A big thanks to Sutra nightclub and everyone that came out.
From Susan L (03-18-07)
Sutra - Friday It was jam packed with beautiful people.. but the music was the best part of the night. Song after song the DJ kept us moving. Not once was the dance floor empty. It's what I go out for so this place on a Friday night is definitely a new favorite of mine. The lines are long but definitely worth the wait once you get inside.
Sharkee's H.B.
From Susan L (03-18-07)
Sharkee's in Huntington Beach - Wednesday You don't need to dress upscale for Sharkee's, but be sure to dress up because there are lots of people to meet here! What's that saying about first impressions? The minute I walked in, people turned their heads and greeted me. The bartenders welcome you to take a seat and get you serviced immediately. You get the works here! Music to listen and dance to, videos to watch on multiple flat screens, plenty of friends and people to mingle with and just enough elbow room for it not to be frustratingly crowded, but comfortably popular.
Mood
From Susan L (03-07-07)
Thursday's @ Mood - It was my first time and I definitely was impressed. It's cozy and trendy.. and the people there are open and outgoing. The dance floor is a bit smaller than most that I've seen, but don't worry, there's plenty of room to dance everywhere else in the entire club, too! What I liked was the second bar out in the back where the ceilings are much higher and there air is much cooler... but seems like everyone is smoking there. If you're one, at least you're warm there "indoors"... if you're not, it's definitely not well ventilated for you. That night I went there was plenty of seats to take--which means the music was banging! I honestly danced pretty much the whole damn night!!! That's what you're out on the scene for right--shake what your momma gave ya!!!
Club Vegas
From Susan L (03-07-07)
Friday's @ Club Vegas - The setup here is definitely hot. You walk in feeling your important... people hanging out while you walk on through and all eyes are on you. I'm not going to lie... the attention feels great! Once you're completely through you're greeted by a bar with hot bartenders... yummy! There's a small dance room there, but it's not really happening. As soon as you step into the bigger room, though, you're instantly swallowed by a crowd of dancers and party goers! It's insane! The music is up loud and pumping your heart and everyone's feeling every single beat. Take a break and get a drink at the long and stocked bar right by the dance floor. The lighting is fun... great photos were taken there ;) and the go-go dancers are sexy! Guess what! Parking was free! The only con I can come up with about this venue would be the fact that the first smaller dance floor was empty!! Which means you should go, bring your party, and take over the small room!!!
Cabana Club
From Susan L (02-28-07)
Saturdays @ Cabana Club - Looking for something different other than the routine indoor clubbing experience? Then head to Cabana Club right there on Ivar and Sunset. It's outdoor with cabanas and bars lined up against the wall. A shallow and cute pool is decked in the middle while you get to mingle and get to know others around it. The dance floor is packed with hot dancers getting it on--it never was once empty. Don't worry, it won't get too cold, they prepped the place with heatlamps. Plus, the cold will be the last thing on your mind--it's Socal! Guaranteed good times with a hot crowd!
V2O
From Susan L (02-28-07)
Thursdays @ V20 - V2O in Long beach is one of my favorite places to hang out Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights! You can be sure there is always something going on there! It's right in the middle of LA and OC, right by the beach, and it's definitely got the best crowd to party with. Everyone inside is friendly and all have one thing in common: looking for a night out, plenty of good times, and awesome music to shake your butt to. The venue itself is something else to take in. The lighting, the different textures, and plenty of seats to rest on.. you can't be bored! You can party it up to two different decades on certain nights when you walk through this crazy wooden walkway to the second dance floor where the big hits of the 80s are busted out. Come on, you can't deny it. Everyone loves 80s! Oh, and did I mention the bartenders make the best drinks I've ever had here? Yes... definitely worth noting! Good looking people and fun times, what more can you ask for?
Highlands
From Susan L (02-28-07)
Friday Nights @ Highlands - If you're into glitz and glam, The Highlands in Hollywood is your place to be. As soon as you walk into the room, the fully packed bars greet you left and right. Gotta get your drink on and get loose on the dance floor, right? So obviously as you proceed through you end up on the spacious dance floor with hot go-go dancers luring you in. The best thing about this place is the outside patio. Located on the third floor of Hollywood and Highland, the outdoor patio over looks the city of LA. Amazing view, cool breeze, the perfect place to cool down after dancing your heart out. Partying it up with the hot and trendy, three stocked bars, one large dance floor, and an awesome view to complete the night.. what more can I say? Oh right! The music! It keeps you going all night long even after you leave...
